The I.R.L.B association wishes to support the work of Dr. Jean-Marc Lemaître, a pioneer in research into aging and longevity. He and his team have demonstrated that cellular aging is a reversible process, paving the way for major advances in regenerative medicine. Author of several reference works on cellular reprogramming and rejuvenation, he is working to develop innovative solutions for restoring tissues and organs altered by age.
With this in mind, we have set ourselves the mission of supporting the creation of an Institute for Healthy Longevity, dedicated to exploring the mechanisms of aging and implementing concrete strategies to prevent, reverse or slow down the effects of aging.
Thanks to your donations, we want to develop innovative RESEARCH to ensure healthy longevity for all.
Why ?
By 2050, the number of people aged over 65 will have doubled worldwide. One in three people in France and Europe will be over 65.
Biological aging is a major risk factor for the onset of age-related chronic pathologies such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, neurodegeneration and cancer.
Assessing, preventing and treating ageing therefore represents a unique opportunity to curb or even eliminate age-related diseases, and to improve longevity in good health.
How ?
I.R.L.B. supports the Institut de la Longévité project, on the initiative of Jean-Marc Lemaitre, Director of Research at INSERM, which will integrate in a single location Excellence in Research on Aging, dedicated Startups and a Clinic working around these 3 pillars, EVALUATE, PREVENT and TREAT aging, in order to avoid age-related illnesses.
THIS INITIATIVE IS UNIQUE IN FRANCE.
The medical, social and economic spin-offs will be invaluable.
Where and when ?
